TikTok ads payment methods in Bangladesh: what works in 2026
TikTok often asks you to pay before your ads run. If the card declines at that step, the campaign never starts.
How TikTok ads billing works
TikTok Ads Manager has three billing options: manual payment, where you prepay and ads spend the balance; automatic payment, where TikTok charges your card as you spend; and monthly invoicing for larger advertisers (TikTok Business Help). You can switch from manual to automatic, but not back.
Setting up from Bangladesh
Bangladesh isn't on TikTok's list of countries where you can create an ad account yourself (updated November 2025) (TikTok Business Help). Many Bangladeshi advertisers run through an authorised TikTok agency or partner, which sets the billing options. Use your real business details when you sign up. A billing country that doesn't match your card is a common reason for suspended accounts.
Why TikTok payments fail on Bangladeshi cards
Bangladesh Bank caps online international card payments at USD 300 per transaction. They come out of your unused annual travel quota (USD 18,000 per adult per year) plus up to USD 1,000 a year (FEPD-1 Circular 40, 30 Sep 2026).
Many Bangladeshi bank cards add an FX markup of 2% to 3% only when the charge isn't in USD (example schedule, Aug 2026). On USD charges you pay for your dollars at the bank's selling rate.
Other common causes: international online payments switched off on the card, fraud checks on a new foreign merchant, or a balance that didn't cover fees on top of the charge.
Choose your account currency carefully
TikTok doesn't let you change an ad account's currency after you create it (TikTok Business Help, updated May 2025).
If you pay from a USD balance, a USD ad account means no conversion on any payment. With nsave, spending in USD has a 0% fee, while charges in BDT carry a 1% to 1.5% FX fee.
